Bates Masi Architects in her new creations have made a small house that coveted and desired by many people and little new couples getting married, this house is located in Amagansett, New York. Inspiration in many ways, small houses can be more luxurious than a big one because it affords the simplicity of casual. The owner of this little retreat in the hills of sand appreciate their unique lifestyles, but provided a comfortable weekend home for many years but flows need to correct:
Their small houses can be seen from their living room for the tight family structure of the sag, and a vast glass recognize too much direct sunlight. In addition, the form of a house, a series of boxes and towers, looks a bit awkward. The challenge in this huge renovation and additions to the site limited to add space and amenities, while simplifying the forms and functions of the house into a balanced unity fits with the owner of a busy life.
Additional space to tie the house together visually and structurally. New bedroom and bathroom on the second floor to fill the void in the original composition and take advantage of the scenery surrounding dunes.
The south wall of this bedroom are sliding glass doors that open to a new pier and ocean view beyond. Cantilevers roof through the door to form a sunshade that extends, ribbon-like, through which there is, aster bedroom window and down into a new storage closet on the first floor.
